“We have recently took over the maintenace at this site and on one of the commercial tennents floors they have 2 noisy units. Someone has look at these before we arrive and left the following report. However we have been taks with getting the repairs completed. This is the report details of what was found.
Further to my site visit yesterday and the noise issue surrounding the BC controller, there are really only two options / likely causes.

The first is a shortage of the refrigerant gas, and the second is a fault with a valve, or valves within the box.

Having discussed this with Warren Green, we feel that the right course of action would be to investigate the gas charge first.

At the time of starting the works, we only isolated the refrigerant the gas in the condenser units and recovered what was in the pipework, on the basis that following the validation works and that the systems had been installed for quite a while, the gas charge was correct. This also coupled with a successful pressure test carried out prior to recommissioning.“
